TAQA celebrates graduation of 96 Atrush youth from English language course

TAQA celebrated the certification 96 young students, who completed level 2 English language
training through the company’s partnership with the American University of Kurdistan’s English
Language Institute. TAQA provides financial support to the program, which hosted 200 youth for this
round. In his speech at the graduating ceremony, Dr. Nazar Numan emphasized the importance of English
language abilities in this day and age. While Dr. Schona Playford, the Director of AUK’s ELI, held a speech
thanking the instructors for their relentless effort in providing language lessons under aggravating
circumstances. Delivering remarks ceremony, Tania Hussein, TAQA Project Manager, highlighted the positive influence
ELI’s English language classes have on society, stating “Kurdistan’s youth is willing to take risks and those
risks are necessary for a brighter future.” The courses were offered as a part of TAQA’s CSR strategy in Kurdistan.
